Back on September 19, 2007 the CW Network aired a new series based on the novel called Gossip Girl written by Cecily von Ziegesar. The series which is also called Gossip Girl follows some of New York’s socialite teenagers who are growing up on the Upper East Side. They are all dealing with drugs, sex, jealousy, and many other issues that teenagers deal with. Gossip Girl is currently in its second season. During its first season it because popular quite fast. It averaged about 2.61 million viewers for each episode. So far second season ratings are at about 3.19 million viewers.
Gossip Girl currently airs on the CW Network Monday night primetime lineup before One Tree Hill. Gossip Girl stars many young up and coming actors. Actress Kristen Bell who has been in many popular movies and television shows is the narrator who is never seen but heard at the beginning and ending of each episode.
